After all these years...
Ill be 26 this year, but Im still able to recite some poems in their entirety... and I havent seen a copy of the book since I was in the fourth grade. Im amazed to see that it is still in print and I cant wait to add it to my library again after losing it 16 years ago. This is an excellent gift for any child who enjoys reading and/or poetry.

You should buy the book The Random Book of Poetry for Children because it has funny poems, sad poems, and happy poems. All together it has 572 poems. It can be for children and adults. Also it is my favorite poem book. I think you should buy it. Thank You

*LOVE* this book
Wonderful, just wonderful, this collection of childrens poetry sparkles and adds life and verve to any classroom. From the opening stanza of "The Boy What Done A Poo" and the haunting reworking of Goldsteins "Ahhh, Im telling Miss of you" this anthology will thrill children of all ages, and grown ups too!
(I must point out, however, that the inclusion of controversial poet Sean Hickeys "Bang Bang Youre Dead 50 Bullets In Your Head" might cause younger readers some concern).
